Kitty and I recently visited Tattoo Auto Detailing Sdn Bhd in Pelangi for a bike wash, hoping to revive my neglected bike after a rainy spell. We were drawn in by the convenient location and the friendly staff, who greeted us with smiles and helpful directions. While we were optimistic, the cleaning results were a bit disappointing.
Previously, I'd been to their Bukit Indah outlet years ago, and I wasn't happy with the oily residue their detailing left behind. This time, I was pleased they were using a water-based polish, avoiding that oily issue. However, we still encountered a few areas that were missed, including the main stand, side stand, undercarriage, and dashboard.
Kitty, being the detail-oriented one, pointed out those missed spots. We both agreed: Even the best cleaning can't eliminate all dirt and grime, but these are noticeable areas that really should be tackled. Especially since we chose the water wax polish package, which is the higher-priced option, we were expecting a more thorough clean.
Unfortunately, our disappointment wasn't limited to the missed cleaning spots. Shortly after leaving the shop, we encountered rain, and I noticed oily, yellow, rusty water droplets forming on my bike. It appeared as though the wash solution had not been fully removed, leaving behind a residue that attracted these droplets. The droplets felt oily when I tried to clean them off.
Despite the hiccups, the staff were friendly and helpful, offering different wash options and even storing my helmet while we went for lunch at the Pelangi mall. They were also helpful in guiding me to park my bike, and they didn't apply polish to my brakes, which was a good thing after my previous experience.
Kitty was happy with the convenience of the location, as it allowed us to have a fun afternoon in Pelangi. She even enjoyed browsing the shops while we waited for my bike.
Overall, while there have been improvements since my last visit, Tattoo Auto Detailing still needs to ensure they pay meticulous attention to detail. For the price of the water wax polish package, we would expect the bike to be thoroughly cleaned, especially the noticeable ones. The wash solution also needs to be fully removed to prevent the oily residue issue.
To be fair, Kitty and I will definitely be back to give this establishment a chance to redeem itself when opportunity arised. We will provide update to our review accordingly based on our observations. We're hoping for a better experience next time.

Bike wash place that used to be pretty value for money. Now slightly less as prices have risen, but still pretty ok. Large area so they run a bigger operation. They also sell vapes at the counter if you have a craving for a smoke. Some food options in the vicinity while you wait. There are cheaper bike wash shops around but people come here for the familiarity.

The staff here super nice. Regardless bike or car wash is very solid. But bike waiting time is on the longer side as only 1 or 2 guys washing. But still kilat. Try liao you will not regret

My go-to bike wash place in JB. Come here when you have time to spare, because they really clean in detail and might take awhile. Very nice staff, and have waiting area with seats, aircon, and even water dispenser (clean!) for you!
Great quality and value if you buy the vouchers. To note that they stop bike wash at 5PM.
One time my bike had battery issue when I was nearby, and the staff came out to help and assist to nearest workshop!!
